Coordinates: 32 ° 17 ′ S , 115 ° 59 ′ E The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . Serpentine-Jarrahdale belongs to the metropolis of Perth , the capital of Western Australia. The area is 905 km² and has about 27,000 inhabitants (2016).
Serpentine-Jarrahdale is located on the southern edge of the urban area of Perth about 30 to 55 kilometers south-east of the city center. The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the Mundijong district, where around 1500 people live (2016).

The Serpentine-Jarrahdale Council has ten members. They are elected by the residents of the four wards (three each from Byford and Centrall Ward, two each from North West and South Ward). The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
