Service monitor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A service monitor is a program that runs on a server and monitors system resources of servers and their computer networks . This is to ensure that the server can not be reached by a client as rarely as possible and that the administrators are relieved of work.

There are also services that check various functions of the server externally in continuous time segments and process the results accordingly. In the event of malfunctions, the website operator is warned by email or SMS.
