Seseia motor with contemporary advertising literature

Seseia is an acronym for the company Se bastian Be tner A lzey, also called Seseia engine factory Electric Machine Shops Alzey ( Rheinhessen ).

history

Sebastian Seitner's electrical installation business already existed in Alzeyer Spießgasse in the 1920s .

In the 1930s, the company produced electric motors under the name “Seseia-Motor” (also “Seseia-Kleinmotor”) as a patent at the German Reich Patent Office (DRP) and registered as a German Reich utility model DRGM, as well as corresponding accessories.

The engines were advertised as teaching models, but also as toy engines to drive the drive models for model steam engines that were widespread at the time . These could be operated by means of a transmission belt via a cord roller integrated in the motor. Use as an aquarium aerator, agitator and shaking mechanism or advertising rotating mechanism was also offered by the manufacturer - in conjunction with accessories that could be ordered accordingly.

According to contemporary advertising materials, the Seseia motor could be supplied as an AC motor for 110/130 or 210/240 volts or as a DC motor for 6-8 volts, the output was 8 watts at 2500-3000 / min. and a power consumption of 12 watts. The direction of travel was reversible, two speeds were available. Remote control of the motor was also possible via a bell line.

Three different versions could be ordered, graded according to price range, which differed in the size of the Bakelite housing and in the equipment details. For example, the more expensive models had a voltmeter attached to the front .

In 1936 Sebastian Seitner ceded the patent rights to the Lüdenscheid conveyor technology company, Markes & Co. GmbH.
