Setareh (also Setare , Persian ستاره) is a female given name from Persian . Translated, the name means star . The Persian name appears in the Bible as Esther . Esther is the Persian name for Hadassa , a Jew who lives in the Persian Empire and who later married the Persian King Xerxes I and thus became Queen Esther .
