The Settiner See is located in the municipality of Tramm in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The little indented body of water is located north of Göhren and about two kilometers southwest of Crivitz . The eponymous village Settin lies to the west. The shallow water lake is about 1300 meters long, about 600 meters in the north and about 300 meters wide in the south. There is a small island in the northern bulge. The lake is drained into the Warnow by the Amtsgraben , which flows through the Millitzsee , Crivitzer See and Barniner See lakes in a north-northeastern direction .
The Settiner Tannen forest area adjoins the eastern bank . The Herrenhaus Settin, which is used as a hotel, is located directly on Lake Settin. The lake is located in the forest and meadow landscape of Lewitz .
