Severija Janušauskaitė (born October 22, 1981 in Šiauliai , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian theater and film actress as well as a director and composer .

Live and act

Janušauskaitė's mother was a teacher, her father an electrical engineer. As a student she attended art courses and music school; later she was also active as a composer, among other things she wrote music for puppet shows. In 2005 she graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA) .

In 2014 she became known in Russia with the role of Margarita in Anna Melikjan's film Zvezda ( Russian Звезда - The Star). She starred in numerous other Russian films and series such as Krëstnyj (Крёстный; 2014), Norveg (Норвег; 2015), Ryba-mečta (Рыба-мечта - dream fish, 2016) and Optimisty (Оптимисты - optimists; 2017). She had roles in over a dozen films and series from 2004 to 2018. In Germany she became known for the role of Swetlana Sorokina in the series Babylon Berlin , for which she also sang the title song Zu Asche, zu Staub . The song reached number 22 in the German single charts. Since 2018 she has also toured several times with the Moka Efti Orchestra .

Janušauskaitė is married to a director of the puppet theater in Vilnius and has a son from his first marriage.
