Severina Pascu

Severina Pascu (* before 1970 in Romania ) is a Romanian manager. She has been Deputy CEO and CFO at Virgin Media since February 2020 . From September 2018 to January 2020 she was CEO of UPC Switzerland .

Life

Pascu studied pedagogy in Vâlcea from 1987 to 1991 and then from 1991 to 1996 economics at the Bucharest Business Academy . After her studies, she worked in leading international companies, including KPMG and Metromedia Telecommunications in London. In 2008 she joined the Romanian UPC as chief financial officer, and in 2010 she became managing director. Between 2015 and the end of 2017, Pascu was Managing Director for UPC's national companies in Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Luxembourg.

In December 2017 she joined UPC's management team as Chief Operation Officer Central Europe. From September 1, 2018 to the end of January 2020, Pascu was CEO of UPC Switzerland , a subsidiary of Liberty Global . She was the first woman to head a large Swiss telecommunications company. Since February 2020 she has been Deputy CEO and CFO at Virgin Media , the largest subsidiary of Liberty Global.

Pascu has two children.

Awards

The business magazine “Forbes” named Pascu one of the 50 most influential women in Romania.
