Parish Church of St. Severin

The parish church Linz-St. Severin is in Linz's Lederergasse in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Severin belongs to the dean's office in Linz-Mitte in the Linz diocese . The church is a listed building .

history

The church was built as a replacement for the old Severinkirche in Posthofstrasse (today the Serbian Orthodox Church), originally planned for demolition, in 1963 according to plans by Franz Wiesmayr and consecrated in 1968 by Bishop Franz Zauner . The church has been an independent parish since 1969. The reinforced concrete structure has an oval floor plan. The church does not have a bell tower.

The sanctuary was designed by Peter Dimmel . The organ was made by organ builder Bruno Riedl in 1982.
