Sex Madness , also released under the titles Human Wreckage, They Must Be Told, and Trial Marriage , is a 1938 American exploitation film directed by Dwain Esper. Similar to the anti-drug film Reefer Madness, the film is said to be teenagers and young adults warn of the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases , especially syphilis . The film is public property and can be downloaded royalty-free from the Internet Archive .

Wild parties, lesbian love, and premarital intercourse are some of the forms of "madness" that are portrayed. The advanced educational aspect of the film made it possible to take up taboo subjects, the presentation of which was forbidden by the Hays Code of 1930 and the even stricter restrictions imposed by the Hollywood studios in July 1934.
