Seymour Liebergot
Seymour "Sy" Abraham Liebergot (born February 15, 1936 in Camden , New Jersey ) is a former American aerospace engineer. During the Apollo program he worked as an "Electrical, Environmental and Consumables Manager" (EECOM) in flight control.
He began his career with North American Aviation in 1963 after graduating from California State University with an electrical engineering degree. In 1964 he went to NASA and was on Apollo missions 8-15 , while Skylab and ASTP worked as EECOM. He was part of the team that brought the Apollo 13 crew back to Earth safely.
Today Seymour Liebergot lives with his third wife Craig in Pearland, Texas .
In the film Apollo 13 , Liebergot is played by Clint Howard , the brother of director Ron Howard .
