Shō Endō ( Japanese 遠藤 尚 , Endō Shō ; * July 4, 1990 in Inawashiro , Fukushima Prefecture ) is a Japanese freestyle skier . He's on the moguls specialized disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls.
biography
Endo began to take part in international freestyle competitions in 2005. He made his World Cup debut on December 13, 2007 in Tignes . The first World Cup points followed on January 26th, 2008 with place 30 in Mont Gabriel . As a result, he was able to establish himself in midfield. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished in 7th place, which was the best result of his career to date. In December 2010 he also made it into the top ten for the first time in the World Cup. He achieved his first podium on March 9, 2012 as third in the Moguls competition in Åre .
In the 2012/13 World Cup season , a third place was again Endo's best result. At the 2013 World Championships in Voss , he just missed a medal as fifth in the dual moguls competition. In the winter of 2013/14 he was on the podium two more times in the World Cup. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he achieved 15th place in the Mughal competition. After two podium places at the beginning of the 2014/15 World Cup , he had to break off the season in January 2015 due to an injury. In the 2015/16 World Cup , he again achieved a podium finish, while in the following season 2016/17 he did not get beyond fifth place.
