The 15th Freestyle Skiing World Championships took place from March 5th to 10th, 2013 in Norway . The program included competitions in the disciplines of aerials (jumping), moguls and dual moguls ( moguls ), halfpipe , ski cross and slopestyle . The halfpipe competitions for women and men were held in the winter sports resort of Myrkdalen near Voss and all the others in Vinterpark near Oslo .

54 participants from 21 countries took part in this competition. 32 of them passed the qualification. In elimination races, 16 reached the quarter, eight the half and four the final. The losers of the semi-finals started in the small final for places 5 to 8. The winners ran for medals in the big final .

Dual moguls

36 athletes from 16 countries competed in the Dual Moguls. 16 of them survived the qualifying round. In direct comparisons, eight more were eliminated in the round of 16 and four more in the quarter-finals. The two who lost in the semifinals competed for the bronze medal in the small final. The semi-final winners fought for the gold medal.

Ski cross

35 starters took part in the competition. In several runs in groups of four, the third and fourth placed were eliminated. 16 athletes reached the quarter-finals, eight the semi-finals and four the final. The losers in the semi-finals also competed in the small final for places 5 to 8. The semi-final runner-up, Katrin Müller from Switzerland, was disqualified because she caused the Austrian Katrin Ofner to fall and missed the final.
