Andreas Håtveit (born July 9, 1986 in Hallingdal ) is a Norwegian freestyle skier .

Career

Håtveit celebrated his first major international success at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Ruka in 2005 . In fourth place, he narrowly missed a medal in the halfpipe. As a result, he switched to the discipline of Slopestyle . In 2008 he won the X-Games in this discipline. At the Winter X Games 2010 he won silver.

In February 2013 he made his debut in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup . In Silvaplana , after finishing sixth in the qualification, he finally achieved 21st place and thus his first World Cup points. Since it was only his only World Cup that season, he ended the 2012/13 season in 240th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 64th in the Slopestyle World Cup ranking.

In March, Håtveit started at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2013 in Voss and after finishing third in the qualification was one of the medal favorites in Slopestyle. However, he could not repeat this performance in the competition and ended up only fourth.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season , Håtveit won his first World Cup in Copper Mountain . In the slopestyle competition, which was held for the first time at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he again missed a medal in fourth place.
