Since 2008, Krief has participated in competitions of the AFP World Tour and the FIS . He made his World Cup debut in January 2009 in Les Contamines , which he finished in 17th place. In February 2011, he finished 27th at the 2011 World Championships in Park City . The following month he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with fourth place in La Plagne . At the Winter X Games Europe 2012 in Tignes , he won the silver medal. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season he achieved a podium finish for the first time with second place in Cardrona in the World Cup. In the further course of the season he came in all World Cup participations in the top ten. At the 2013 World Championships in Voss , he won the bronze medal. He finished the season in fifth place in the Halfpipe World Cup. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he finished eleventh in the first ever half-pipe competition. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , he finished second at the World Cup in Cardrona . In December 2017, he won his first World Cup at the Secret Garden Ski Resort . He finished tenth at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . In the 2018/19 season he came in three top ten finishes, including third place in Mammoth , and fifth place in the Halfpipe World Cup. At the season highlight, the 2019 World Championships in Park City , he finished sixth.
So far, Krief has taken part in 26 World Cups and has been among the top ten 15 times (as of the end of the 2019/20 season).
