The 18th Freestyle Skiing World Championships took place in Park City ( USA ) from February 2 to 9, 2019 . The FIS awarded the competitions to the only candidate on June 5, 2014 at its congress in Barcelona . They were held at the same time as the snowboard world championships , so after 2015 and 2017 there was a "double world championship" of freestyle skiing and snowboarding for the third time .

The venues for the competitions were the surrounding winter sports areas Deer Valley Resort , Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort . Already in 2003 and 2011 was Deer Valley was the host of the world championships.
