Evan McEachran (born March 6, 1997 ) is a Canadian freestyle skier . He starts in the freestyle disciplines Slopestyle and Big Air .

Career

McEachran has been participating in AFP World Tour and FIS competitions since 2012 . In March 2012 he started in Mammoth in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup for the first time and finished 50th in Slopestyle. The following year he won the Canadian Open Tour in Mount St. Louis Moonstone in slopestyle and came second in the USSA Revolution Tour in Sun Valley in slopestyle. In the 2013/14 season he won the North Face Park and Pipe Open Series in Whistler , the Snowcrown Ski and Snowboard Festival in Blue Mountain and the AFP World Tour Finals in Whistler in slopestyle. He also took second place in slopestyle at the Aspen / Snowmass Freeskiing Open. At the Winter X Games 2015 in Aspen , he came 14th in slopestyle. In the 2015/16 season he achieved tenth place in the Slopestyle World Cup with four top ten placements. At the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen, he came 12th in Slopestyle.

In the 2016/17 season, McEachran finished eighth in slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen and the X Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell . At the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he finished 14th in Slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in slopestyle in the Stubai . This was followed by two top ten placements, including third place in the Slopestyle in Mammoth and ninth place in the Slopestyle World Cup at the end of the season. In the Winter X-Games in 2018 he finished tenth in the slopestyle and at the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang sixth in Slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, he took second place in Big Air in Cardrona .
