Junko Hoshino (born September 25, 1989 in Nagaoka ) is a Japanese freestyle skier . It starts in the moguls disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls.
Career
Hoshino made his debut in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup in March 2010 in Inawashiro and finished 16th in the Moguls. At the 2011 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Deer Valley , she came 20th in the Moguls and in the Dual Moguls. Two years later she came in the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Voss on the 28th place in the Dual Moguls and on the 26th place in the Moguls. In January 2014 she reached her first top ten placement in the World Cup with tenth place in the Moguls competition in Calgary . In the further course of the season three more top ten results followed, including third place in the Moguls in Val St. Come and in the Dual Moguls in Inawashiro . At the season highlight, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she finished 25th in the Moguls. She finished the season in ninth place in the Mughal World Cup. In the 2014/15 season she came in the top ten five times in the World Cup, including second place in the Moguls in Tazawako and thus finished 32nd in the overall World Cup and tenth in the Moguls World Cup at the end of the season. At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2015 on Kreischberg , she won 11th place in the Moguls and tenth place in the Dual Moguls competition. In March 2015, she became the Japanese Mughal Master.
In the 2018/19 season, Hoshino reached eighth place in the Moguls World Cup with five top ten placements. At the season highlight, the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she finished ninth in the Moguls and sixth in the Dual Moguls. In March 2019, she became the Japanese Moguls and Dual Moguls Masters in Inawashiro. After two ninth places at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she achieved second place in the Moguls competition in Tazawako and 11th place in the Moguls World Cup at the end of the season. In February 2020, she won the Japanese championships again in the Dual Moguls.
