Alex Bowen (born May 21, 1992 in Buffalo ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the aerials discipline (jumping).

Career

Bowen mainly participated in the Nor-Am Cup from 2008 to 2013. He won a race and was also three times second and six times third. His best overall result was fourth place in the 2011/12 season. In the World Cup he made his debut on January 20, 2012 in Lake Placid and achieved places 32 and 19. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he was tenth. In the 2014/15 season he achieved his first top 10 placings with two sixth places in Deer Valley and Lake Placid and at the end of the season he achieved 17th place in the Aerials World Cup. At the season highlight, the 2015 World Championships on Kreischberg , he surprisingly won the silver medal.

In the 2016/17 season Bowen came in the top ten three times in the World Cup and finally reached tenth place in the Aerials World Cup. At the 2017 World Championships in the Sierra Nevada , he finished 27th.
