Carol Bouvard (born January 12, 1998 ) is a Swiss freestyle skier . She starts in the discipline Aerials (jumping).

biography

Bouvard comes from Zurich - Wollishofen , where she has lived since she was two. She started doing gymnastics in her childhood and switched to freestyle ski jumping after a trial training session on the Jumpin water jump facility in Mettmenstetten .

Bouvard's first appearance in the European Cup was in March 2013, but then had to pause the entire 2013/14 season due to injury. In the following two winters she competed in the European Cup again. After she won the European Cup competition in Minsk on February 9, 2017 , she made her debut in the Freestyle World Cup 16 days later at the same location , finishing in 19th place. Her World Cup results in the 2017/18 season were not enough to qualify for the Olympic Games. In the European Cup, however, she achieved three victories and another podium, which she decided the discipline for herself. She won the bronze medal at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Minsk.

Bouvard qualified for the 2019 World Championships in Park City . There she surprisingly won the gold medal in the team competition held for the first time (together with Nicolas Gygax and Noé Roth ).
