Isabel Atkin (born June 21, 1998 ) is a British (formerly American ) freestyle skier . She starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Atkin has participated in FIS and AFP World Tour competitions since 2013 . She achieved her first podium finishes in the 2012/13 season at the USSA Revolution Tour with third place in slopestyle in Sun Valley , second in the halfpipe in Seven Springs and first in slopestyle in North Star . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , she was ninth in slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season she made her debut in Cardrona in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup and finished 21st in Slopestyle. In the further course of the season she took second place in the halfpipe and first place in slopestyle on the USSA Revolution Tour in Seven Springs . It will start for the United Kingdom from the 2014/15 season . In the 2014/15 season she came second in slopestyle at the USSA Revolution Tour in Mammoth and third at the European Freeski Open in Laax . The following season she reached second place in the SFR Freestyle Tour in Slopestyle in Val Thorens and in La Clusaz . In January 2017, she was eighth in slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen . At the beginning of March 2017 she won her first World Cup victory in Slopestyle in Silvaplana and at the end of the season she achieved fourth place in the Slopestyle World Cup.

The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2017 in the Sierra Nevada won the bronze medal in slopestyle Atkin, also at the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang . At the end of January 2018, she won the silver medal in slopestyle at the Winter X Games . In the 2017/18 season she came third in the World Cup in Snowmass and second in slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi and thus achieved ninth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she won the bronze medal in Big Air.
