Alexander Hall (born September 21, 1998 in Fairbanks ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the disciplines halfpipe , slopestyle and big air .

Career

Hall started the World Cup for the first time in Cardrona at the beginning of the 2015/16 season and finished 22nd in slopestyle . In the further course of the season he won the slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour in Mammoth , the Nor Am Cup in Calgary and the Absolut Park Spring Battle in Flachauwinkl . At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , he finished fourth in the halfpipe and won the silver medal in slopestyle. In the following season he won the Big Air event One Hit Wonder in Thredbo and in slopestyle at the Freeski Open 2017 in Nanshan and the Total Fight in Grandvalira . He also came third in slopestyle at the SFR Tour in La Clusaz and came 13th in slopestyle at the 2017 Winter X Games in Aspen .

In March 2017 Hall came in 16th place in slopestyle at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell and ninth place in slopestyle at the world championships in Sierra Nevada . In the 2017/18 season he achieved seventh place in the Slopestyle World Cup with three top ten placements. He won his first World Cup victory in Slopestyle in Silvaplana . At the Winter X Games 2018 he came 11th in slopestyle and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang he came in 16th in slopestyle. In May 2018 he finished fourth in Big Air at the X-Games Norway in Fornebu . At the beginning of November 2018 he came second in Big Air at the World Cup in Modena .
