At the beginning of her sports career, Baron was an alpine ski racer and took part in FIS races from December 2007 . However, she failed to achieve any significant success, which is why she switched to ski cross during the 2009/10 season and initially started in the European Cup. In the 2010/11 season she won two European Cup races, plus two second places. With these results, she won the discipline ranking. Baron made her World Cup debut on December 17, 2011; with 11th place in San Candido , she immediately won her first World Cup points. Only three weeks later, on January 7, 2012, she achieved her first podium finish in a World Cup race with third place in St. Johann in Tirol . In the further course of the 2011/12 season , a second and third place were added.
In the two following winters, Baron could not quite maintain this level and achieved some top 10 placements, including 7th place at the 2013 World Championships in Voss . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she finished 20th. After finishing third at the beginning of January 2015, she celebrated her only World Cup victory so far on February 14, 2015 in Åre . Towards the end of the 2014/15 World Cup season , a third place followed, which resulted in second place behind Anna Holmlund in the ski cross discipline classification . In the 2015/16 World Cup season , she came second twice and third four times, placing her in third place in the discipline ranking. At the end of the season she won the French championship. Due to a herniated disc in November 2016, Baron missed the entire 2016/17 season.
