The 13th FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships were held from 2 to 8 March 2009 in Japan Inawashiro instead.

Medals were awarded in five disciplines, including the second time in the halfpipe and the third time in ski cross . Competitions in aerials (jumping) and on the moguls (moguls) have been held since the first freestyle skiing world championships and thus for the thirteenth time .

Award

The award took place on June 3, 2004 at the 44th FIS Congress, which took place in the Hotel Intercont in Miami .

Men

Ski cross

50 ski crossers took part in the competition. 32 of them qualified for the direct comparisons. In the eighth, quarter and semi-finals, the two best of the four starters reached the final medal battle.

16 of the 29 starters reached the quarter-finals. The two best of the four groups of four made it to the semi-finals. The losers there ran in the small final for places 5 to 8. The semi-final bettors competed for the medals.
