Justin Dorey (born August 17, 1988 in Calgary ) is a Canadian freestyle skier . He starts in the halfpipe discipline .

Career

Dorey made her debut in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup in January 2008 in Les Contamines and finished third. Since the 2008/09 season he has been participating in competitions on the AFP World Tour . He achieved second place that season at the New Zealand Freeski Open in Wanaka and the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and on Mount Snow . In February 2009 he won the US Freeskiing Open in Copper Mountain . The following month he won the silver medal at the 2009 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Inawashiro . He finished the season in second place in the AFP World Tour halfpipe rating. He won the bronze medal at the Winter X Games Europe 2010 in Tignes . At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he won the US Grand Prix in Copper Mountain . In the further course of the season he finished second at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and third at the World Cup in Tignes. He won the silver medal at the Winter X Games Europe 2011 in Tignes. He won the AFP World Tour Final in Whistler and came in second in the AFP World Tour halfpipe rating. In December 2012 he won the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge . In the 2013/14 season he won his first World Cup victory in Calgary and won the Halfpipe World Cup with it. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he came 12th in the first ever halfpipe competition. In February 2015 he won the US Grand Prix in Mammoth .
