Matt Graham (born October 23, 1994 in North Gosford , New South Wales ) is an Australian freestyle skier . He starts in the moguls disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls.

Career

Graham made his debut in Deer Valley in January 2010 in the World Cup and finished 41st place in the Moguls competition. For the first time he achieved a top 10 placement in the World Cup in February 2013 in Sochi with seventh place in the Moguls. At the 2013 World Championships in Voss , he finished 38th in the Dual Moguls and fourth in the Moguls. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014, he was seventh in the Mughal competition. In the 2014/15 season he reached his first World Cup podiums with second places in Deer Valley and Val St. Come as well as third place in Tazawako . At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2015 on Kreischberg , he came 16th in the Moguls and tenth in the Dual Moguls. He finished the season in fifth place in the Mughal discipline ranking.

In the 2015/16 season , Graham finished in the top ten in all World Cup competitions, including 3rd place in Tazawako and 2nd place in Val St. Come. In February 2016 he achieved his first World Cup victory in Deer Valley, at the end of the season he finished ninth in the overall World Cup and second in the Moguls discipline. After finishing 2nd at the World Cup in Ruka at the beginning of the 2016/17 season , he achieved eight top 10 placements, including 3rd place in the Dual Moguls in Tazawako and in the Moguls competition in Thaiwoo . He also won his second World Cup victory at the Moguls in Calgary and at the end of the season he finished 7th in the overall World Cup and 3rd in the Moguls World Cup. At the season highlight, the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he finished 14th in the Moguls and 10th in the Dual Moguls.

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , Graham won the silver medal in the Mughal competition, as well as at the 2019 World Championships in Park City .
