Daichi Hara ( Japanese 原 大智 , Hara Daichi ; born March 4, 1997 in Shibuya , Tokyo ) is a Japanese freestyle skier . He starts in the moguls disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls.

Career

Hara started in the Nor-Am Cup in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 winters and finished in 43rd and 29th overall. He made his debut in the World Cup in January 2015 in Calgary , which he finished in 37th place in the Moguls. In March 2015 he became the Japanese Mughal Master. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he came in Ruka with seventh place in the Dual Moguls for the first time under the top ten in the World Cup. In the further course of the season he reached four more top 10 placements and at the end of the season he was eighth in the Moguls World Cup. At the Junior World Championships in 2016 in Åre , he finished 16th in the Moguls and fifth in the Dual Moguls.

In the following season 2016/17 Hara came in the World Cup with three top 10 placements on 17th place in the Moguls World Cup. At the end of February 2017, he won the silver medal in the Dual Moguls at the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Sapporo . At the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he came 23rd in the Mughal competition.

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , Hara won the bronze medal in the Moguls competition. Two more bronze medals in both disciplines were added at the 2019 World Championships in Park City . In March 2019 he won silver in the Moguls competition at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk .
