Conradign Netzer (born August 2, 1980 in Chur ) is a Swiss freestyle skier . He specializes in the discipline of ski cross .

biography

Netzer was an alpine ski racer at the beginning of his sports career . He took part in FIS races from January 1997 and sporadically in European Cup races from December 1999 , but failed to achieve any notable success. On November 23, 2003 Netzer made his debut in the Freestyle World Cup and achieved 31st place in Saas-Fee . Winning the first World Cup points followed on January 18, 2004 with 16th place in Laax .

In the following two years Netzer established himself in the midfield. Due to injury, he missed the entire 2006/07 season. His first top 10 placement in the World Cup came at the end of the 2007/08 season. In the winter of 2009/10, Netzer regularly began to rank among the top ten. On December 22nd, 2009 he stood on the podium for the first time as third in the World Cup race in San Candido and thus qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics . In the winter of 2010/11 Netzer confirmed his services; he finished sixth at the 2011 World Championships and achieved his best ever World Cup result with second place in Myrdalen-Voss . In addition, he won the Swiss championships in Arosa in 2011 .

For the 2014/15 season, Conradign Netzer, who is a carpenter his main job, decided to contest the races with self-made wooden skis.
