Dmitri Alexandrowitsch Reicherd ( Russian Дмитрий Александрович Рейхерд ; born August 1, 1989 in Öskemen ) is a Kazakh freestyle skier . He's on the moguls specialized disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls.

biography

Reicherd made his World Cup debut on February 18, 2005 in Sauze d'Oulx , where he finished 43rd. He won his first World Cup points on December 14, 2005 with 24th place in Tignes . At the Junior World Championship in Airolo in 2007 , he won the gold medal in the dual moguls competition. After he achieved a podium finish in the World Cup for the first time on March 7, 2008 in Åre , he achieved his first victory the following day. With two top 10 placements, he could not quite build on the performance of the pre-winter season in the 2008/09 season. The 2009/10 season was marked by great volatility, Reicherd's World Cup results ranged from 3rd place to 53rd place. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished 18th.

At the beginning of 2011, Reicherd won the gold medal at the Winter Asian Games in Almaty . In the World Cup season 2011/12 he managed a second place in Beida Lake , while he did not get beyond an eighth place in the World Cup season 2012/13 . In the 2013-14 season , a fourth place in the Moguls competition of Deer Valley was his best result. He finished fifth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . The same result was his best during the 2014/15 World Cup season , while he came second in the Moguls competition at the 2015 Winter Universiade in the Sierra Nevada .

In the 2015/16 season , Reicherd was third in the dual moguls competition in Deer Valley, once again on the podium in a World Cup race; there were also three other top 10 placements. The 2016/17 season went even better for him : on January 13, 2017, he achieved his second World Cup victory with first place in the Moguls competition in Lake Placid , and a month later he was second in Pyeongchang . At the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty, Reicherd won the gold medal in both the Moguls and the Dual Moguls competitions , and two bronze medals at the Winter Asian Games 2017 .

Reicherd came second four times and third three times in the 2017/18 World Cup season (behind Mikaël Kingsbury ).
