Weronika Alexandrowna Korsunowa ( Russian Вероника Александровна Корсунова ; born April 20, 1992 in Taganrog ) is a Russian freestyle skier . She starts in the discipline Aerials (jumping).

Career

Korsunowa made his debut in the World Cup in Mont Gabriel in January 2012 and finished tenth. She won the silver medal at the 2013 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Voss . The following year she finished 11th in her first Olympic participation in Sochi . In the 2014/15 season she achieved her first podium finishes in the World Cup with two second places in Lake Placid . At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2015 on Kreischberg , she achieved 12th place. At the end of the season she came third in Minsk and ended the season in fourth place in the Aerials World Cup.

Korsunowa has taken part in 24 World Cups so far and was among the top ten 12 times.
