Lisa Zimmermann (born March 2, 1996 in Nuremberg ) is a German freestyle skier . In 2015 she was world champion in slopestyle , she is a member of the national team of the German Ski Association in freestyle .

Career

Lisa Zimmermann, who starts for the TV Fürth club in 1860 , started out as a figure skater at the age of six . When her younger brother Max (German Freestyle Champion 2011) took her to ski in a fun park in 2010, she was enthusiastic from the start, switched to freestyle skiing at the age of 14 and gave up figure skating. As a member of the German freestyle team, she was supported with funding from the DOSB and Deutsche Sporthilfe . She usually went to Austria and Switzerland for training because training is often not possible in German ski resorts. In summer she trained jumps on the trampoline and on water jumps. In 2012 she won the Chill and Destroy Tour.

For the 2012/13 season Zimmermann joined the senior national team and was the first woman to stand a “Double 12” (Doublecork 1260) with a double overhead twist and three and a half screws. On February 8, 2013 in Silvaplana she started in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup for the first time . With rank 18 she got her first World Cup points straight away. At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2013 in Voss Zimmermann achieved 17th place in slopestyle. A little later she became Junior World Champion in Chiesa in Valmalenco. In August 2013 she was third in Cardrona for the first time on a World Cup podium and she won the Nine Queens. On January 19, 2014, she became the first German to win a Slopestyle World Cup in Gstaad (Switzerland).

Zimmermann qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . There she could not achieve a medal despite her role as one of the favorites. She crashed in the first qualifying round, and the second round was also not flawless. The judges assessed their performance with 67.20 points, which meant 14th place. The participation in the final of the twelve best was denied her. At the 2014 Slopestyle World Cup final in Silvaplana, she won the last competition of the 2013/14 season and became the overall Slopestyle World Cup winner. At the 2015 World Championships in Kreischberg , she won the gold medal. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season she won the New Zealand Winter Games in Cardrona in Big Air and came third in Slopestyle . In February 2016 she won the US Grand Prix and World Cup in Boston and at the end of the season she finished 15th in the overall World Cup and third in the Slopestyle World Cup. After third place at the World Cup in Mönchengladbach and first place at the World Cup in Milan , she won the gold medal in Big Air at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen .

Private

Zimmermann, born in Nuremberg, spent most of her childhood in neighboring Fürth . She completed secondary school in Bad Aibling , Upper Bavaria . She then went to college at the CJD boarding school at the Christophorus Schools in Berchtesgaden . The Playboy she showed in a series of photographs. She has a younger brother.
