The Basketball Asia Championship 1965 (officially: FIBA Asia Championship for Men 1965 ) was the 3rd edition of this tournament and took place from November 28 to December 11, 1965 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . It was organized by FIBA Asia , the Asian basketball association. 14 teams took part in this tournament. The best team qualified for the 1967 World Basketball Championship .
