The FIBA Asia Championship of Women 1968 (officially in 1968 Asian Championship for Women ), the second FIBA Asia Championship of Women , took place between 22 and 31 July 1968 in Taipei , Taiwan instead, which hosted the championship for the first time. The winner was the South Korean team , which won the women's Asian championship for the second time in a row. For the first time, teams from Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand took part in the tournament.

The game was played in the form of a round-robin tournament . Each team played against the other teams exactly once (thus seven games per team). There were two points for each win and one point for a defeat. The team with the most points became women's basketball Asian champions in 1968.
