The Malaysian national basketball team for women is the selection of Malaysian women basketball players that the Malaysia Basketball Association represents on an international level, for example in friendly games against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest successes were the participation in the world championships in 1979 in South Korea and in 1990 in their own country. In 1957, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In November 2013, the team was ranked 41st in the world rankings for women .
