The Iranian national basketball team for women is the selection of Iranian female basketball players that the Basketball Federation Islamic Republic of Iran represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest success was fourth place at the 1974 Asian Cup . In 1947, the national association joined the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In November 2013, the team was not included in the world rankings for women .
