The Sri Lankan national basketball team for women is the selection of Sri Lankan basketball players that the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. Between 1978 and 2011 the team took part in Asian championships twelve times . In 1959, the national association joined the world association Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). In November 2013 the team was ranked 54th in the world rankings for women .
