Riddle has been participating in FIS competitions since 2004 . At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2005 in Ruka , he achieved 15th place. He had his first World Cup race in January 2006 in Les Contamines , which he finished in second place. In the 2007/08 season he finished third in Inawashiro and won his first World Cup victory in Chiesa in Valmalenco . Since the 2008/09 season he has also competed in the AFP World Tour. At the beginning of the 2013-14 season, he came in second at The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series in Copper Mountain . Another second place followed in the World Cup in Breckenridge . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014, he won the silver medal. In March 2015, he won his fourth World Cup in Tignes . In December 2016, he took second place on the US Revolution Tour in Copper Mountain. He won the silver medal at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Sierra Nevada in 2017 . The following year he was fourth in the Winter X Games and sixth in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang .
