Shōhei Okada ( Japanese 岡田 翔 平 Okada Shōhei ; born April 29, 1989 in Kawasaki ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Okada learned to play football in the youth team of FC Tokyo and the university team of the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya . He signed his first contract with Sagan Tosu in 2011 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2011 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club he completed 43 league games. In 2014 he was loaned to the second division club Shonan Bellmare . In 2014 he became champions of the second division with the club and rose to the first division. For the club he completed 38 league games. He returned to Sagan Tosu in August 2015. For the club he completed 16 first division games. In 2017 he moved to the second division Thespakusatsu Gunma . At the end of the 2017 season, the club was relegated to the J3 League . In 2019 he was runner-up in the third division with the club and rose to the second division.
