Shōkichi Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 昌吉 , Satō Shōkichi ; born April 9, 1971 in Aomori Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Satō learned to play football on the school team at Gonohe High School . He signed his first contract with NKK SC in 1990 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . For the club he completed 15 games. In 1994 he moved to the second division club Kyoto Purple Sanga . In 1995 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . For the club, he completed 47 top division games. In 1999 he moved to the second division Ōmiya Ardija . For the club he completed 13 games. At the end of 1999 he ended his career as a football player.
