Shūji Tsurumi ( Japanese 鶴 見 修治 , Tsurumi Shūji ; born January 29, 1938 in Taitō , Tokyo ) is a former Japanese artistic gymnast .

He won a gold medal in the team all-round competition at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome . In the competition on the pommel horse he won bronze and in the individual all-around he took fourth place. Four years later, at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo , he again won gold in the team all-round competition. In addition, he won three silver medals in the individual competitions on parallel bars, on the pommel horse and in the individual all-around.

At the Gymnastics World Championships in Dortmund in 1966 , he was world champion in the team all-around and vice world champion in the individual all-around.

Tsumuri was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2008.
