Sha (musician)
Sha (* 1983 in Bern as Stefan Haslebacher ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( saxophone , bass and double bass clarinet , composition).
Live and act
Sha initially received lessons from Don Li and has been studying at the Lucerne School of Music since 2005 ; after completing his bachelor's degree, he deepened there in two master’s courses. Since 2003 he has been a member of Nik Bärtschs Ronin ; With this group he toured internationally several times and released five albums. He also performed as a duo with Bärtsch and is a member of his band Mobile . In 2007 he also founded his own project Sha's Banryu , with which he released two albums. He can also be heard on Mik Keusen albums.
With his group Sha's Banryu , he was runner-up at the ZKB Jazz Prize in 2008/2009 . In 2009 he received the dance music composition award from Pro Helvetia , and in 2010 the award from the Axelle and Max Koch Foundation.
