The Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic Football Club ( Chinese 陕西长安竞技足球俱乐部 ) is a professional Chinese football club that currently participate in the China League One. The club is located in Xi'an ( Shaanxi ) and plays its home games in the Shaanxi Provincial Stadium .
history
Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic was founded on March 30, 2016 through joint contributions from eight companies based in Xi'an. The ancient term for Xi'an, Chang'an , was chosen as the team name . They entered the fourth division in 2016 and made it to the third division in their first year. The team finished third in the 2018 China League Two and lost the promotion playoffs against the Guangdong Southern Tigers . However, since Yanbian Fulde is not allowed to compete in the second division due to tax debts, the club rose to the China League One 2019.
