Shadia ( Arabic شادية, DMG Šādiyya , also Shādiyah ; Sahdya ; Chadia ; real .: Fātima Ahmad Kamāl Schākir  /فاطمة أحمد كمال شاكر; * February 8, 1931 in Cairo ; † November 28, 2017 ibid) was an Egyptian singer and film actress.

Life

Shadia made her debut in 1947 in the film Al-Aql Fi Ajaza by Hilmi Rafla , from which the stage name comes from which she became known. In total, she has appeared in more than 100 films, including over 30 films with Kamal El-Shinawy . Hussein Kamal's Raya and Sakina (1953), in which she and Soheir ElBably played the title roles, is considered a classic of Egyptian cinema.
