Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo (also Sholom Ber Wolpe ; Hebrew שלום דוב וולפא; * 1948 ) is an Israeli publicist, Chabad-Lubavitch - rabbi and politician.

Life

Shalom Dov Wolpo founded SOS Israel , a militant Israeli Jewish movement that refuses land concessions to the Palestinians. He thinks that Eretz Israel , the Land of Israel, is inviolable, land concessions to the Palestinians are forbidden for halachic reasons and because of the principle of Greater Israel . Therefore, on November 11, 2008, he founded the right-wing extremist party Eretz Jisra'el Shelanu in Israel .

He wrote more than 40 books in Hebrew, mostly on halachic topics and on Menachem Mendel Schneerson .
