Shaman in Gardaland ( Castelnuovo del Garda , Veneto , Italy ) is a steel roller coaster of the Double Loop Corkscrew model by the manufacturer Vekoma , which was opened in 1985 under the name Magic Mountain .

The Sequoia Adventure roller coaster has been located on the area between the two loops and the double corkscrew since 2005 .

There is an identical roller coaster named Python in the Efteling theme park in the Netherlands.

journey

After the train has left the station, there is a small descent and a 180 ° left curve. The train then reaches the 30 m high lift hill . Once at the top, the train goes through the two loops after a short descent, a 180 ° left curve and the first drop . Here the train reaches a maximum speed of 70 km / h. After a 180 ° right-hand bend, the double corkscrew and a helix follow before the rail leads to the final brake.

Trains

Shaman owns two trains with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system. In 2008 the fairings on the trains, which were originally from Arrow, were replaced by new ones from Vekoma. For the 2009 season, the entire trains were finally exchanged for Vekoma trains.

VR expansion and dismantling

In 2017, the train was renamed Shaman , the station was redesigned and the journey was equipped with VR glasses. The shamanic rites of the Native Americans are discussed. The VR equipment was removed in 2018, but the name Shaman was retained.
