The Shambarai Swamp (sometimes called Olgarwe Shambarai ) is a temporary lake of shallow depth in the Manyara region of Tanzania . It lies at an altitude of 917 m and is fed by the Themi , which rises on the western slope of Mount Meru . It drains near the town of Mbunguni in the Kikuletwa .
