Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of China CSSC Holding. The shipyard is currently under construction to prepare for the order of two cruise ships from CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping Limited valued at US $ 1500 million with an option for four more newbuildings. The construction is based on the design license for the Vista class built by Fincantieri with a length of 323 meters, a measurement of around 134,000 GT and a capacity of around 5000 passengers.
