Shannon Richardson (* 31 August 1977 as Shannon Rogers ) is an American assassin and former actress .

Career

Shannon Guess Richardson played minor roles in television series such as the Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead .

She has six children from several marriages. The sixth child was born three months early while in custody.

Richardson became known nationwide after sending threatening letters containing the poison ricin to US President Barack Obama , New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and an activist for stricter gun laws on May 20, 2013 . Ten days later, she turned to the FBI accusing her husband of the crime, but became involved in contradictions during the interrogation and was arrested in June 2013. After making a confession in December 2013, Richardson was sentenced to 18 years in prison and $ 367,222 in  compensation in July 2014 .

As part of the investigation against Richardson, the existence of the hitherto secret Mail Isolation Control and Tracking program was discovered, in which all envelopes transported by the United States Postal Service are photographed.
