Shannon Rempel (born November 26, 1984 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a Canadian speed skater who specializes in sprinting and short distances.

Shannon Rempel made his debut at the World Cup in Heerenveen in February 2001 . Again and again, she was able to occupy top places - for example, she came second in 1000-meter World Cup races twice in her career - but also repeatedly disappointed higher expectations that grew out of successes. The two-time Canadian champion belongs to the world class, especially as a sprint all-rounder. She can also stand up as an all-rounder and was junior world champion in this discipline in 2003. Her greatest success was winning the silver medal at the side of Kristina Groves , Clara Hughes , Cindy Klassen and Christine Nesbitt in the team competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . A year later she also became world champion in the team.
