Sharlene Mawdsley (born October 8, 1998 ) is an Irish sprinter

Athletic career

Sharlene Mawdsley gained her first international experience in 2015, when she finished eighth in the 200-meter run in 24.09 s at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna and with the Irish 4 x 100 meter relay after 45.38 s came in fourth. The following year she was disqualified at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz over 200 meters in the run and finished fifth in the relay in 44.82 s. In 2017 she reached the semi-finals of the U20 European Championships in Grosseto and was eliminated there with 23.98 s, while she finished fourth in the relay in 44.47 s. In 2019 she took part in the 400-meter run at the U23 European Championships in Gävle , where she finished seventh in 53.57 seconds and fourth in the relay in 44.32 seconds.

Mawdsley was Irish champion in the 400-meter run in 2019 and indoor champion in the 200-meter run in 2017.
