The Sharp PC-1403 is a pocket computer (pocket computer) with an integrated scientific calculator from Sharp .

It is the successor to the PC-1401 . On from 1986 in Japan produced pocket computer programs can be in the programming language BASIC write that in eight  KiB large static RAM will be saved. The almost identical model PC-1403H has 32 KiB RAM. On the left side of the device there is an 11-pin interface via which various peripheral devices can be connected. These include the cassette interface CE-124 , the thermal printer with integrated cassette interface CE-126P or CE-129P and the pocket floppy drive CE-140F .

As an extra that is not documented in the manual, the computer can also be programmed in machine language, so that, among other things, one can gain direct access to the external interface. This makes it possible to use the pocket calculator for measurement and control applications or to couple it to other computers / devices (e.g. via RS-232 ). Extensive literature on this subject appeared in the mid to late 1980s.
